Our

frequently asked questions

Q

How far in advance should I place my order?

Well, that’s up to you. In the busier summer and fall months, we can book up pretty fast. It’s strongly recommended that you place your party rental order as soon as possible, to ensure you can get the items you want for your event.

Q

How do I place my party rental order?

We try to make the order process as easy as possible.  You’re welcome to come into our office and showroom during normal business hours, or schedule an appointment outside of our normal hours.  If you can’t come in, we can even handle everything by email.

Q

What do you need to reserve equipment for my event?

A 50% deposit is required to book your date and rental equipment.  The balance is due one week prior to delivery or upon pickup if applicable.  We will also need a signed rental agreement and your credit card will be kept on file until after the event and rental equipment has been returned.

Q

May I change my order after I place the deposit?

Of course!  We certainly do not wish to charge for equipment that you will not use.  You may make changes to your rental order until 48 hours prior to delivery.

Q

What do you charge for delivery?

Central Coast Tent makes every effort to keep delivery charges as low as possible.  Delivery is based on distance, time, rental equipment ordered and varies by location.  Learn more about our delivery and pickup services here: party rental delivery.

Q

How about setup?

Professional installation is included in the price for items like tents and dance floors.  We offer setup and breakdown services for chairs, tables, and linens for an additional fee.   Prior notice of setup and breakdown is required.  Learn more about our event setup and breakdown services here: party setup

Q

Does the rental equipment need to be returned clean?

We ask that china, flatware and glassware be rinsed of food and placed in the containers in which they were delivered.   Tables and chairs must be “knocked down” and stacked they way they were delivered.  Linens should be shaken off to remove food and placed in the container provided upon delivery.

Q

What if some items are returned damaged or not returned at all?

Your damage waiver will cover accidental damage to rental equipment.  The damage waiver cannot be applied to missing equipment.  Any rental equipment that is not returned will result in an additional charge equal to the replacement cost of each item.

Q

Can I buy your rental equipment?

Yes!  Our sister company, Event Furniture Source, sells new event equipment including chairs, tables, dance floors, umbrellas, heaters, equipment carts, and much more.
